Steve Jewett, President
Steve believes in the people, the process, and the tools of publishing. He has seen technology leverage the skills of capable people with speed and quality as never before in the history of the written word. Steve believes that we can use these tools to manage our work, clarify our communications, and produce great books with less heartache and stress. Steve's been working in the publishing industry since the cutting edge of technology meant improving the rubylith and the red tape.
Steve likes to listen to the guitar greats and support his teams.
Dan Milstein, Director of Engineering
Dan has a deep faith that internet tools can be harnessed to deliver transparency to the process of managing complex projects. Dan believes that we can manage the flow of critical information so that Craftspeople can exercise their craft, Managers can leverage their experience, and Executives can direct and lead. And everyone can get more sleep. Dan has spent over a decade writing sophisticated software to make people's lives simpler.
Dan also writes and directs delightfully oddball plays for one of Boston's most acclaimed fringe theater companies. Ask him about it sometime, if you like the idea of Theater That Doesn't Suck.
Belinda Thresher, Director of Production
Belinda makes lists and checks things off. Belinda is pleased when everyone has what they need, knows what they need to do, and all old deadlines are met. Belinda has experienced the publishing industry from many managerial seats.
Belinda loves the outdoors. She likes to travel, hike, bike, ski, and haunt the occasional flea market in search of a bargain.
Marianna McCormick, Director of Business Development
Marianna believes that a sale is a positive process --
where issues are identified and matched with the
proper solutions. Marianna believes that success
floats all boats and that the proper product can make
a difference in a better world...if not, then there's a
better way. Marianna has sold products and supported
customers in a variety of different industries from
big-ticket capital equipment moveable only by cranes,
to intricate IT structures that boggle the mind, to
turnkey library systems. Through her empathy and drive
she has helped many different sizes and types of
business excel. She is here to repeat that success at
Appingo.
Marianna prepares for work each day by rowing on the
Charles River, typically as a starboard in a group of
eight -- teamwork, teamwork, teamwork.
Mark Jewett, Production Specialist
Mark is a talented painter and designer. Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Quark seem to be second nature to him.
Mark loves to paint fantastic images on the smooth metal of custom automobiles.
